DENNIS JOHN ROESKE

Dennis John Roeske was born November 16, 1954 in Oshkosh, WI to Chet and Pat Roeske. He was reborn into faith in Jesus Christ in 2007. He was married to Vickie Lee (Bulman) on August 30, 2008. He is survived by his beloved wife Vickie, step-son Daniel, daughters Christina and Emily, step-daughter Lisa, sister Sharon Roeske, Mom and Dad in-laws Barton and Lotus Bulman, brothers-in-law Bruce and Scott Bulman and their families, sister-in-laws Denise (Bulman) Bummert, Jeanine (Bulman) Lorentzen, LeeAnne Bulman and their families, and by many loving brothers and sisters in Christ, friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his natural parents Chet and Pat Roeske, and two brothers-in-law Steve & Wade Bulman and one nephew, Travis Bulman. Dennis was came to know and love Jesus in 2007. As he loved reading God’s word, talking to Him in prayer, talking to others about Him & listening to pastors who preached the full truth of God’s word – Dennis grew in his love for Jesus and for others. He was a faithful, loving husband and father who also had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a man who loved to tinker, fix and build. He was a patient and kind man and at 6’4” tall - he was considered a precious, gentle giant by his wife Vickie and others who knew and loved him. Dennis and Vickie lived near Oshkosh after their marriage in 2008. Dennis retired after working 27 years for C.R. Meyer as a diesel mechanic. In January of 2019 he and Vickie moved to N.E. Iowa to be living closer to family in MN. They enjoyed doing many things together such as riding motorcycle, target shooting, working on their home, playing SkipBo, and growing watermelons, to name a few things. But their best love was (and still is!) Jesus. They loved to read and study God’s word and pray together. They loved to share Jesus and their home with others. Dennis often said that one of his joys was to hear the sound of voices and laughter of loved ones in their home. He is and will continue to be sorely missed but we know he is well and safe in the loving arms of Jesus. Forever. And so we will praise and thank our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. A memorial service for Dennis will be held on Saturday, March 4th at the New Albin Community Center (137 Railroad Ave. SW New Albin, IA 52160) with visitation from 10:00-10:50 and the service at 11:00 AM. A light lunch will follow as well as a time to share precious memories of Dennis.
