LORENE ELAINE STOLTZ

Lorene Elaine (Erickson) Stoltz, aged 86, of Caledonia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 22, 2025, at Gundersen Tweten Care Center, Spring Grove, MN. She was born on October 30, 1938 to Earl and Bernice (Haugen) Erickson in Mabel, MN. Lorene graduated from Mabel High School and began a career as a paralegal in Preston, MN before continuing her work at Von Arx Law in Caledonia, MN. On November 24, 1962 Lorene was united in marriage to Robert Stoltz. Together they raised their son Scott on the family farm. After retirement Lorene and Bob moved off the family farm and built a home together on the edge of town. She began volunteering at the nursing home as a Eucharistic minister during mass. She very much enjoyed her visits to the farm, but looked forward to her trips to the Casino Queen, “The Boat” as she would call it, in Marquette, IA to play the slot machines. She was always lucky and came home a winner every time. Lorene had a special love for her granddaughters and her great-grandchildren. She loved when they came to visit and always greeted them at the door with a warm smile and a “What can I get you? A can of pop, ice cream, candy bar?” She didn’t like to take “nothing” as an answer. She enjoyed sharing with them stories and pictures of her cherished memories. She was especially proud that three generations of her family have attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, where she is a parish member. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert; her son Scott (Nicole) Stoltz of Caledonia, MN; granddaughters Caitlin (Jeremy) Reinhart, Elizabeth Stoltz, Emily (Ross) Anderson; and her 9 great grandchildren Hunter, Mason, and Bennett Reinhart; Elliot Danielson, Grayson and Isla Stoltz; Charlotte, Leni, and Layton Anderson. Lorene is proceeded in death by her parents, an infant brother and sister, her sister Patricia Henry; in laws Julius and Theresa Stoltz; brothers in-law Wilfred Stoltz; Sonny Henry, and Dominick Felten; sister-in-law Wilma Felten; and great-granddaughter Brilyn Anderson. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the care teams at Gundersen Tweeten and La Cresent Health Services for their care and compassion shown to Lorene. A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 26, 2025 at 11 am, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia, with a visitation before before hand beginning at 10 am at the church. A luncheon will follow in Holy Family Hall. McCormick Funeral Services is assisting the family.
