ELIZABETH "BETTY" RASK

Elizabeth (Betty) Rask Elizabeth (Betty) Lucille Rask, 88, of Caledonia passed away peacefully on September 26, 2018 at Caledonia Care & Rehab. She was born February 17, 1930 in La Crosse, WI to Nathan & Ann (Rieter) Randall. On September 10, 1949, she married Alfred Rask at Crucifixion Church in La Crescent, MN. Alfred preceded her in death on October 12, 1966. Betty was a dedicated homemaker for many years of her life. One of her greatest joys was raising her children and spending time with them and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty also worked at Northern Engraving in Spring Grove, MN for 28 years. She retired at the age of 79. She will be deeply missed by her children: Kathy Neve (Rick Riddle), Pat (Jim) Jennings, Paul (Carol) Rask, William Rask, Duane (Ellie) Rask, Mark Rask, Dennis Rask, Shelly (Jim) Hosch. She is survived by 23 grandchildren: Angela (Brian) Lee, Dawn Neve, Heather (Brad) Snitker, Stephanie (Curt) Mann, Joe (Ali) Jennings, Stacie (Phillip) Klug, Renee (Eric) Goetzinger, Rachel (Andy) Reining, Nick (Samantha)Jennings, Kelly (Shawn) Meyer, Chad (Jamie) Rask, Dustin (Katie) Rask, Jared (Heather) Rask, Nathan (Erica) Rask, Emily Rask, Scott (Katlyn) Rask, Eric (Sasha) Rask, Alex, Ryan, Seth, and Carly Rask, Tyler and Jacob Hosch; 36 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Betty is also survived by sisters: Ione Ross, Dorothy DeFlorian, Mary Fennell and brothers: Jeff Randall and Tom Randall, and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, her parents Nathan and Ann, son David, grandson Peter Hosch, son-in-law John Neve, daughter-in-law Paula Rask, sisters: Shirley Patterson, Babe Michalke, Barbara Sapp, brothers: John Randall and Patrick Randall, and Alfred’s brothers and sisters, and their spouses. Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed baking and cooking and was an avid bowler for many years. A mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2 at St Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Tom Jennings and Father Stephen Abaukaka will officiate and burial will be in Wilmington Cemetery, Caledonia. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church before the service.
