Anna Marie McCormick, 80, of Caledonia, died peacefully surrounded by loving family, on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Gundersen Tweeten Health Care in Spring Grove, MN.

      Anna Marie was born March 26, 1938, in La Crosse, WI, to Leo and Verna (Davy) Graf. She attended Country School in rural Caledonia, St. Peter's Catholic Grade School, and graduated from Loretto High School. On September 21, 1957, she married James McCormick, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Caledonia. 

     Anna Marie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia, the Mayville Ribbon Strivers 4-H Club. She worked for Dr. Bernard Krenzke's Chiropractic Clinic for many years and she enjoyed bicycling, walking, traveling, and entertaining. She was dedicated to the pro-life movement and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, gardener, cook and baker and she made the best chocolate cookies, receiving the top award at the Houston County Fair. She was instrumental in working with the local community and sending care packages containing cookies,and other treats and necessities to our troops, during Operation Desert Storm in 1990-91

     She is survived by her husband, James, of Caledonia; daughter, Rosanne Hargrove of Wenden, AZ; sons, Allan (Laura) of La Crescent, MN, Kevin (Gail) of Caledonia, and Brian (Nancy) of Oklahoma City, OK; 17 grandchildren, Kenneth Hargrove, Jack, Cal, Jess, Gabe, Dane, Ava, Kayla, Connor, Case, Catherine, Emily, Christopher, Mary Clare, Joseph, Gerard and Margaret McCormick; 2 sisters, Loretta (Norval) Ladsten of Mabel, MN, and Kathy Nelson of Caledonia; 2 brothers, John (Judy) Graf of La Crescent and David (Roxane Adams) of Carefree, AZ; brother in law, Gene Schulze; and sister in law, Patricia McCormick.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Rita Schulze, brother in law, Steve Nelson, and nephew, Jason Schulze.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Friday, July 6th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Fathers Thomas Jennings and Stephen Abuakaka will con celebrate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. A rosary will be said at 3:30 pm Thursday and visitation will be from 4-7 pm, all at St. Mary's Holy Family Hall. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Memorials may be given to St.Mary's School or Gundersen Tweeten Care Center.

     Special thanks to everyone who assisted with her care over the years.  A very special thanks to the tremendous staff at Gundersen Tweeten Care for the years of love and extraordinary support and care given to Anna Marie. 
     Alzheimer's was the thief that stole you from all of us.
     Our long good-bye is over.
     You are free at last.
