Jerry "Red" Storlie, 66, of La Crescent, passed peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Red was born on May 29th, 1951, in Arcadia, WI. He graduated from La Crescent High School in 1969. He went on to serve in the United States Army, was a professional truck driver for 25 years, and retired from Trane Company after 17 years where he held various operational roles.

When he was not watching his grandkids participating in sports and activities, Red enjoyed spending time with his family and friends while camping, boating, fishing, and hunting. He was proud member of the Old Style Car Club, a car enthusiast, and an all-around amazing, fun loving guy who always had a smile on his face.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Judy Storlie, their children: Jason Storlie, Brownsville; Jen (Bill) Conroy, La Crescent; Justin (Stacey) Storlie, Woodbury, MN; Jeff (Amy) Storlie, Pinehurst, NC; Grandkids: Blake Johnson; Jackson, Colton, Mason, & Jillian Conroy; Anthony & Nicholas Verby, Emerson Storlie; Nellie & Joey Storlie. He is further survived by siblings: Marilyn (Roger) Bernsdorf; Darrell (Vickie) Storlie; Cheryl (Farrell) Guillen; Laurie (Matt) Meyers; Brian (Maureen) Storlie. His special sister-in-law, Jane Miller; Father-in-law Marty Miller; Sisters-in-law: Sue Miller, Kathy (Rich) Peterson; Jean (Dave) Klinski and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents Mary and Casey Storlie as well as his mother-in-law, Bea Miller.

A memorial service will be at 11 am on Wed. Feb. 28, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, La Crescent. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Tuesday at the church and also from 10-11 am Wednesday morning before the service at the church. 

The family would like to thank Dr.Ojelabi and his staff for the excellent care he received at Gundersen Health System Oncology Department. They would also like to thank the Gundersen Health System Hospice Program for their caring support.

Just remember Red’s still cruising and having a good time.
