July 1, 1942 - January 18, 2018

Robert “Bob” Rogich, 75 formerly of Hokah, MN passed away peacefully on January 18, 2018 in the caring hands of Mulder’s Nursing Home in West Salem.

Bob was born July 1, 1942 in Caledonia, MN He graduated from Loretto High School in 1961, where he taught basketball to many boys from town.

On October 10, 1964 he married Lorna (Reining)

He worked hard as an iron worker for Ebner Construction Company, making life-long friends along the way.

Bob had the habit of frequenting the same restaurants (The Legion in La Crescent) where he would tease the staff, but win stuffed animals for every kid in the place at the crane machines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel (Witlock) and Louis Rogich; his brothers, David, Joseph, and Louis.

He is survived by his wife Lorna and children, Eric (Kathy), Brenda (Jim) and De Anna. Grandfather to Ashley Lynn, Ashley Elizabeth, Nick, Kendra, Sam, Anabella and Grayson; and great grandchildren Alex and Skylee. His brothers Earl, Donald, Jerry and sister Mary.

His passion in life was the outdoors: fishing, hunting deer, ducks, turkey and pretty much anything involved with the outdoors. He also enjoyed digging ginseng in the fall and hunting for mushrooms in the spring. In his retirement years he enjoyed trout fishing more than ever, proudly showing off his fishing pole collection of over 100 poles.

He will be remembered for his loud laugh, tight hugs, and going for candy raids with the grandkids. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Tuesday, Jan 23, St. Peter's Catholic Church, Hokah. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30am before the service at the church. McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, is assisting the family.
