John Robert "Bob" Fisch, 87, of Caledonia, died November 14, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
Bob was born June 17, 1928, in Caledonia, to Joseph and Margaret (Hingsberger) Fisch. On September 24, 1955 he married Helen Gallagher at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Bob worked for the Milwaukee and SooLine Railroad as a welder for 43 years. He belonged to the American Legion Post 191 in Caledonia and was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 60 years.
Bob enjoyed golfing, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
Bob and Helen had 7 daughters, Sandra, Patricia, Christine, Nancy, Joan, Julie, and Kerry.
He is survived by wife of 60 years, Helen; and 6 daughters and their husbands, Patricia (Mike) Gavin,
Christine (Steve) Johnson, Nancy (Terry) Ranzenberger, Joan (Whiley) Steinfeldt, Julie (Doug) Heintz,
and Kerry (Corey) King; 13 grandchildren, Nicholas Gavin and wife Sara, William Gavin, Dustin Gavin
Cady Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Matthew Ranzenberger and wife Ashley, Laura Ranzenberger, Kevin Ranzenberger, Jackie Heintz, Dayne Heintz, Troy King, Tressa King,and Trent King; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Giles (Maureen) Fisch, William (Sandra) Fisch; 3 sisters Valerie Rabiego, Mary (Dale) Meyer, and Teryl Becker.
He was proceeded in death by a daughter, Sandra Fisch; a grandson, Trey King; and 2 brothers, Leon Fisch and Francis Fisch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Friday, Nov 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Matt Fasnacht will officiate and burial with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Thurs. at McCormick Funeral Home, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
