Orville James Danielson, 71, of Caledonia, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at his home.
He was born August 17, 1943, in Caledonia to Peter and Lillian
(Traufler) Danielson. On May 25, 1963, he married Marliss Rose at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Orville worked his entire life in construction. In his early years he was employed by Griffith Construction and for the past 30 years he was a self employed carpenter.
Orville was a very gifted man and there was nothing he couldn't fix. He always kept busy tinkering. He and Marliss enjoyed travelling to places like Branson and Nashville, and he was an avid gardener. He enjoyed cars, especially driving his 1966 Thunderbird. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marliss; his daughter, Teresa MacLeod, of Caledonia, his son, Donald (Shelly) of St. Charles, MN; his grandchildren, Heather (Willie) Abrahamzon , Jordan and Cody Danielson; step grandchildren, Michaela, Trevor, Mariah, and Tucker Peterson; great grandchildren, Jaxon, James, and John Abrahamzon; his brother Jerry
(Betty) Danielson of Caledonia; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Monday, Nov. 3rd at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Matt Fasnacht will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday at Holy Family Hall, next to the church, where a prayer service will be held at 7 pm. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia is assisting the family with arrangements
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Donald, Ralph, and Norman.
