GENEVIEVE MARIE (KLINKHAMMER) MOLLING
November 16, 1923 - October 30, 2013

Genevieve Marie (Klinkhammer) Molling, Age 89, Caledonia, MN died on October 30, 2013. She was born November 16, 1923 at Miner, ND to John and Josephine (Goergen) Klinkhammer. She married Lloyd Molling June 21, 1950 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Caledonia, MN. She graduated from Lemmon High School, Lemmon, SD in 1941. She received her teacher's certificate from Presentation College in Mitchel, SD and a B.S. Degree from Winona State College, Winona, MN. She taught school in South Dakota for five years before coming to Minnesota where she taught for many years at the Caledonia Public School and at St. Mary's Elementary School.

Genevieve and her husband farmed and raised their family in Mayville Township until they moved to town in 1980. Genevieve loved and enjoyed her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and liked to read, travel, sing, garden, sew, work crossword puzzles, play scrabble and cards. She was a member of St. Mary's Parish and it's Council of Catholic Women, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and a long time member of the church choir. She was also active in the Rural Youth Organization, a past leader of the Mayville Blue Ribbon Strivers 4-H Club, a member of the Mayville Pioneer Homemakers and the Retired Teacher's Association. After retiring from teaching she volunteered at St. Mary's School for many years as well as other volunteer work.

She is survived by a son, Thomas (Barbara) Molling of Caledonia, MN; two daughters, Jean (James Krenzke) Carlson of Houston, MN and Dorothy (Jeffrey) Ranzenberger of Caledonia, MN; grandchildren Peter (Amy) Molling, Laura (Shawn Weidling) Molling, Adam (Christine Halvorson) Molling, Anne Molling, Christopher (Katie) Carlson, Haley Krenzke, Caitlin Krenzke, Chase Krenzke, Kyle Ranzenberger and Katie (Dustin King) Ranzenberger; great-grandchildren Dylan Meyer, Kelsey Schulte, Emma Weidling, Brayden Molling, Jackson Carlson and Benjamin Carlson. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Schleich, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd in 1997, her parents, brother George, sisters Marguerite and Dorothy, brother-in-laws John Sullivan and Cletus Schleich, and a sister-in-law Ida Klinkhammer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Sat., Nov 2nd at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Matt Fasnacht will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 pm on Friday, November 1st at the Holy Family Hall,
next to the church, with a prayer service and sharing of memories to be at 6:30 pm. There will also be a visitation for one hour preceding the funeral on Sat. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mary's School, Calvary Cemetery or Houston County Historical Society.
