Miles F. Klein, 85, of Winona and formerly of Caledonia, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at St. Ann Extended Healthcare, Winona, MN He was born August 28, 1928 in Caledonia to Stephen and Justina (Weis) Klein.  He was married for 32 years and had six daughters. He was later divorced.  He worked as a milk hauler and helped his father on the farm until he moved to his own farm on Oak Ridge, between Houston and Rushford, Mn.  He was very proud to have worked with all of his daughter's on the farm and commented to many on what good workers they were.   He sold Mormans feed for several years and worked as a town board member for Yucatan Township.
He won an award in 1978 from the Root River Soil and Water Conservation District for outstanding farming practices.  After he sold his farm he worked for Ken Olson on Oak Ridge.  He enjoyed  spending time with his family and loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by 6 daughters, Judy Klein of Rochester, MN, Sherry Klein of Winona, MN, Vicki (Greg) Meyer of Rochester, MN, Sandra (Jack) Burgoon of Minnesota City, MN, Jo Ann (Don) Mierau of Winona, MN, and Lori Klein of Stewartville, MN;  9 grandchildren, Jean, Jim, Kim, Chris, Jason, David, Brian, Becky, and Tanner; several great grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Gaylord (Virginia) Klein and Merlin (Lois) Klein, both of Caledonia, and many nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister and brother in law, Winnie and Chuck Sheehan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Friday, September 27, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Matt Fasnacht will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Visitation will be from 5 to7 pm Thurs., at Holy Family Hall, next to the church, where a prayer service will be said at 7 pm. Visitation will also be one before the service at the church on Friday.
