Lorraine Ann Cochran, 90, of Caledonia, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Caledonia Care and Rehab in Caledonia.
She was born July 5, 1921 in Caledonia to Frank and Margaret (Ellenz) Nestor. Lorraine graduated from Loretto High School in Caledonia. She married Del Cochran on October 25, 1941 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Caledonia. Lorraine worked in the housekeeping department at Caledonia Hospital and she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and active in the Council of Catholic Women. She was active with her bowling team, and enjoyed reading and playing cards.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Del of Caledonia; 3 children, Del Jr. (Kate) Cochran of Duluth, MN, Judy Stadtler of Caledonia and Jean Gilbert of White Bear Lake, MN; 5 grandchildren, Dan (Teresa Helm) Cochran, Colleen (Al) Keuten, Maureen (Bart) Olek, Patrick (Crystal) Cochran and Karen (Mike) Gran; and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 granddaughters, Kelly Cochran and Ann (Stadtler) Bauer; a grandson, James Cochran; 2 sons in law, Raymond Stadlter and Richard GIlbert; and a sister and brother in law, Winnie and Herb Dunn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Friday, January 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Gregory Leif will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Thurs. at Holy Family Hall, next to the church, where a prayer service will be at 7 pm. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
