Theodore "Ted" William. Doering, 46, of Bluffton, SC passed away peacefully in his sleep due to congestive heart failure May 10, 2011.

He was born July 9, 1964 in La Crosse, WI, the son of Mary (Banasik) Doering and the Late Robert Doering. Ted graduated from Caledonia High School in 1982 and he worked for Peter Nelson Construction in Caledonia for a brief time. He married Maureen Haight June 25, 1995, they later divorced. Together they had 2 children Erin and Colin who were the Light of his Life.
Ted was a talented Custom Cabinet Maker who built beautiful furniture. He worked for several cabinet companies during his career before starting his own business in Bluffton in 2002. He most recently worked as a driver for Diamond Transportation on Hilton Head, SC. He was an active member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, a past officer in the Ancient Order of Hibernians and a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid MN Vikings and MN Twins fan.
He is survived by his 2 children, Erin and Colin, both of Bluffton, SC , his mother, Mary of Caledonia, MN, brothers Tom (Cindy) of Chesapeake, VA, Tony (Mary) of La Crosse, WI, Tim (Joan) of Anoka, MN, sisters Chris (Clark) Meyer and Karen (Keith) Loging, both of Caledonia, MN. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
Ted was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Sat., May 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 511 S.Pine, Caledonia. Father Larry Berger will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to family wishes or St. Mary's School, Caledonia.
